ISHWAR Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotics (IIPO) is a specialized training Institute run by International Society for Human Welfare and Rehabilitation (ISHWAR), a society duly registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860. The society is also duly registered as an NGO under Section 52 of PWD Act 1995. One of the goals of the Society is to promote Prosthetic & Orthotic education and research in the Country and assist in growth of efficient P&O services in India and its neighbouring countries. It is towards this end that the society has created this exclusive Institute.

missionIIPO’s mission is to be a unique and world class “Apex Centre of Excellence” in the field of Orthotics & Prosthetics and Allied Sciences by imparting education in evidence based clinical practices in Orthotics & Prosthetics thereby enhancing India’s technological strength and in becoming a pace setting institution in this field.

To provide high quality clinical and technical education in Prosthetics, Orthotics and related disciplines of Rehabilitation and train to follow the best clinical practice by outstanding field based research development of human resources.

Aims & Objectives

  • To train and educate, at certificate, diploma, graduate and postgraduate levels, Orthotists & Prosthetists of outstanding ability who may become leaders in the profession.
  • To orientate the teaching to a quality centered approach.
  • To design the P&O education towards continual professional development.
  • To undertake research & encourage students to focus advancement of P&O technology.
